Privacy First Commitment
Our extensions do not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device. Zero tracking. Zero analytics. Zero telemetry.
Introduction
Welcome! This Privacy Policy explains how all Chrome extensions developed and published by Zipconvert ("Extensions" or "Services") handle your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Your synced data goes through Google's servers, not ours. You can disable Chrome Sync at any time in your browser settings.
Permissions Explained
Chrome extensions require explicit permissions to function. Here's why each extension needs specific permissions:
Easy Bookmarks Permissions
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| bookmarks | Required to read, display, edit, and organize your Chrome bookmarks in the sidebar |
| storage | Save your preferences, tags, pins, and settings locally on your device |
| sidePanel | Display the extension as a sidebar panel in Chrome (core UI) |
| contextMenus | Right-click menu options for quick actions on bookmarks |
Extension Pilot Permissions
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| management | Core feature: read installed extensions, enable/disable them |
| storage | Save your profiles, rules, and preferences locally |
| tabs | Monitor current website URL for URL-based auto-rules |
| alarms | Daily background check for unused extension detection |
| system.memory | Display system RAM usage in performance monitoring |
| contextMenus | Right-click toolbar icon for quick profile switching |
Privacy Note: We do NOT request permissions like webRequest, cookies, history, or any permission that could access your browsing data beyond what's strictly necessary.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party services, analytics tools, or tracking libraries. Our extensions are completely self-contained and do not communicate with external servers.
Quick links (like shortcuts to Google, YouTube, etc. in Easy Bookmarks) navigate you directly to those websites. We do not track, log, or monitor which links you click.
Data Security
Since all data stays on your device and we don't transmit anything to external servers, your data is as secure as your local Chrome installation. We follow these security practices:
- All code is non-obfuscated and can be reviewed
- We use Chrome's secure storage APIs exclusively
- No external scripts or resources are loaded
- All external links open with
rel="noopener noreferrer" - Manifest V3 compliance for enhanced security
Children's Privacy
Our extensions do not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Our services are not specifically directed at children, but they are safe for users of all ages since we collect no data whatsoever.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect or store your data on our servers, there's no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You have complete control:
- View your data: All settings are visible within each extension's interface
- Export your data: Use the backup feature to export your settings as JSON
- Delete your data: Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data
- Reset settings: Clear Chrome extension storage in browser settings
GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because we don't collect any personal data, GDPR and CCPA requirements around data access, portability, and deletion are automatically satisfied. There's simply no data to manage on our end.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we will update the version number in the Chrome Web Store listing.
Open Source & Transparency
We believe in transparency. To verify our privacy claims:
- Review the extension code (all extensions can be unpacked and inspected)
- Check Chrome's permission warnings when installing
- Monitor network activity using DevTools (you'll see zero external requests)
- Review Chrome's extension permissions page at any time
